Bacon Wrapped Suffed Jalapenos
So my garden has produced an abundance of jalapenos again this year and I'm always looking for a delightfully tasty way to use them with a product from Thunderbird Ranch or Dakota Seasonings. This weekend I tried this recipe so I'm sharing for those that want to add a little heat to their entertaining.
Ingredients: 1 lb sliced bacon
16 Whole Fresh Jalapenos
8oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
1 cup Cilantro (Diced)
8oz Cheddar Cheese (Shredded)
1 Jar Dakota Seasonings Sweet Heat Juneberry/Jalapeno Sauce
Mix Cream Cheese, Cilantro, and Cheddar Cheese until blended. Wearing gloves slice jalapenos length wise at a 1/3, 2/3 ratio. Remove all seeds and membrane. Fill the larger cavity with Cheese mixture, place the smaller sliced "cap" on Jalapeno. Wrap Jalapeno with bacon slice using a toothpick to secure on pepper. Grill until pepper is cooked and cheese is melted. Dizzle heated Juneberry/Jalapeno sauce over peppers before serving.
Tip: Bacon can be slightly precooked by baking it for 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven prior to wrapping. This will allow bacon to be crispier after grilling.
